I have been trying for over an hour to download High Sierra to my mid-2009 MacBook Pro that is on El Capitan (10.11.6). There is enough space and I even ran CleanMyMac to, well, clean things up. The App store won't download to this computer. I am looking for some alternate ideas, but the best one I have come up with is to find some way to get a copy of High Sierra 10.13.2 onto an external boot disk, which I can then connect to my disabled MacBook Pro and reinstall after entering recovery mode and disk utilities. Hello That link brings you to a lovely apple page telling you all about the High Sierra OS, but no where did i find a link to download the 10.13.0 SW. The MacBook Pros I have will not work on Mojave. I do have one running High Sierra 10.13.6 but do not have the full 10.13.0 installer.
Check compatibility

Download macOS
It takes time to download and install macOS, so make sure you're plugged into AC power and have a reliable Internet connection.
These installers from the App Store will open automatically after you've downloaded them:

Your web browser will download the following older installers as a disk image called InstallOS.dmg or InstallMacOSX.dmg. Open the disk image, then open the .pkg installer inside the disk image.
